Seaburst Aquaculture Systems was amoung the first group of companies to be issued the new Aquatic Farmer License by the New Jersey Department of Agriculture. During an informal reception at the Tuckerton Seaport on October 5, 2004, licensees were ceremoniously awarded their licenses.

The issuance of these licenses represents a milestone in the development of a set of uniform guidelines for operating aquatic farms in New Jersey. Until now, questions concerning the regulatory and permitting requirements affecting aquaculture have hindered growth of the industry.

For the past two years, Seaburst Farms has been selling
New Jersey aquaculture products in community farmers markets in Woodbury and Collingswood, New Jersey. These markets, which have been springing up throughout the state and region, provide consumers a direct link with the producers of locally grown farm products.

On Saturday, October 23,2004, the Company featured a "Jersey Seafood" day at the Collingswood Farmers Market. In addition to its SEABURST® brand shellfish, the Company began promoting New Jersey farm raised tilapia. The day featured a tank of live tilapia for demonstration to the public (especially loved by the children who attended), cooking demonstrations by local chefs, and a visit by NJ Secretary of Agriculture Charles Kuperus.
